Our world the past week has been interesting, to say the least! It's been full of both good and bad. The day after Nils got here, we went to a luncheon to meet other exchange students with the program.
What a bunch of good-looking kids!
The girl sitting next to Nils is staying with some friends of ours (the ones that got us interested in hosting!). She is from Switzerland.

Monday was the first day of school for both of us. Both of us managed to survive, but the next two days of school were canceled due to Tropical Storm Fay. So we both had a SECOND first day on Thursday, and then....guess what? No school Friday! This might have been a welcome event for others, but I would have rather have been at school Friday. The kids were monkeys on Thursday because of the changes in their schedules, and I know it's going to be even worse on Monday! Plus we'll just have to make it up later. But oh well, what can you do?

We did manage to go fishing on Lake Harris in between all the rain and craziness. Nils got to be pretty good at casting!

"It's all in your elbows, Nils!"

We just love having Nils here! Brooklyn is the only one that is not impressed, but that's pretty normal for her!

Tell Nils we said a big Florida welcome --- oh wait, Fay already welcomed him.

Can't wait to meet up with you guys at Yalaha Bakery one of these days!

Cute photos -- I remember when your mom was making your prom dress. I thought you looked so elegant. I loved that dark blue color. It was SO rich looking.
